Schlossberg Achkarren
Our vines grow on a former volcano in the Kaiserstuhl region. The soil therefore consists of cooled lava and black-grey volcanic weathered rock. The Schlossberg is located directly in front of Achkarren, the vines stand on the sunny southern slope (Syrah) or in warm small terraces (Pinot Gris). The wines are complex, mineral and spicy, with salty notes and the aroma of smoky flint.
