Kaiserberg Herbolzheim
Humic loess loam, yellow limestone marl underneath, supported by light-colored slate and granite. The high, steep rock faces are warmed by the sun and slowly release this heat to the vines. At the same time, winds are constantly blowing through the Rhine plain. The vines have “warm feet”, so to speak, in the cooling winds. The resulting wines are particularly powerful, large and at the same time very elegant.
